Photo: Pool Party a Success
Golden Valley Kiwanis: The Golden Valley Kiwanis Piknik and Pool Party was held on June 20. Thirty-two young people, first-graders to eighth-graders, and many parents and Kiwanis volunteers came together for the 2nd Annual Piknik and Pool Party at the downtown pool in Kingman for a private evening swim party. The event was fun for the kids as well as the adult chaperones who attended.

American Legion Post 14: Legion family members and guests will be celebrating the Fourth of July with a barbecue on the patio, from 2 until 6 p.m. on Sunday. Hotdogs and hamburgers are provided by the post, and the rest of the menu is potluck. So bring your favorite side dish or dessert and enjoy our back patio, play some pool or pitch a few horseshoes.

Belles of St. Mary: Just a reminder, there will be no regular Belles' meeting on July 14. There will be a Mass in honor of our patroness, St. Anne, on Monday, July 26. All Belles are urged to attend Mass as well as the no-host brunch at Calico's. This is where we share memories of what we have accomplished together and make every effort to remember we are ladies!

Eagles membership drive barbecue Saturday
The Fraternal Order of Eagles 3744 hosts a member appreciation barbecue, horseshoe tournament and new member drive starting at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 12, at 4536 N. Patsy Drive.
