Supervisors table animal control changes to allow more public input
After listening to about an hour of sometimes peppery comments from residents and owners of animal rescue shelters, the Board of Supervisors agreed to table changes to the county health, zoning and animal control ordinances for 30 days and ordered that a public workshop with county staff be held during that time.

The Kingman City Council will hold its final 6 p.m. meeting today in recognition of the Labor Day holiday. All subsequent meetings will begin at 5:30 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of the month.

The Mohave County Board of Supervisors approved the canvass of the vote from the Aug. 24 primary election Thursday morning, and Cobb beat out John Slaughter for the Republican nomination for the Kingman Constable seat by 44 votes.
